What I Stand For:
Fair Wages and Stronger Communities
Working families deserve wages that reflect the true cost of living in Georgia. When wages fail to keep up with housing, transportation, and everyday necessities, families are forced to make impossible choices. Supporting fair wages strengthens our entire community—allowing families to remain stable, supporting local businesses, and creating healthier local economies where people can work, live, and build a future with dignity.
Real-World Education for Every Student
Too many students are graduating without the skills they need to succeed in life and work. In Georgia, only about 35% of 12th graders are reading proficiently, which means the majority of students are entering adulthood without strong reading comprehension—one of the most critical foundations for success. Education must move beyond a system dominated by standardized testing and focus again on reading, writing, comprehension, critical thinking, and life readiness. Our schools should prepare students for real choices after graduation—whether that means college, skilled trades, entrepreneurship, or entering the workforce with confidence and capability.
Protecting Small Businesses and Regulated Professions
Service-based industries such as cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, and other licensed professions play a vital role in our local economies. These professions create jobs, support families, and keep small business communities thriving. Across the country, there are growing efforts to deregulate these industries, which can weaken sanitation standards and professional training requirements. Without proper oversight, communities face increased risks of infection outbreaks, unsafe practices, and public health concerns. Protecting regulated professions ensures public safety, consumer trust, and stable opportunities for entrepreneurs who invest time and resources into building their careers.
Preparing Students for Careers and the Workforce
Not every student plans to attend a traditional four-year college, and our education system must reflect that reality. Studies show 63% of teens are not interested in pursuing a traditional four-year college degree, while employers report that 40–46% of high school graduates lack essential job-readiness skills, including communication, professionalism, work habits, and problem solving. We must strengthen career pathways, workforce training, and life-skills education in K–12, ensuring students graduate with practical knowledge, exposure to real career opportunities, and the tools they need to support themselves and their families.

"Built in the Bricks. Called to the Capitol."

I’m Madam T. N. Walker—known to most as Tiffane Nicole—a mother, spiritual leader, and beauty industry trailblazer. I was born at Georgia Baptist Hospital and raised in Capitol Homes—public housing that once stood just steps from Georgia’s State Capitol. That proximity wasn’t just geographic—it was prophetic. The neighborhood may be gone, but the foundation it laid in me remains: grit, grace, and clarity about where I come from and where I’m called to go.
For decades, I’ve worked at the intersection of beauty, business, and education——owning Atlanta’s first 24-hour salon, educating future professionals, and launching the country’s first culture-based HBCU beauty college. Every chair I stood behind, every student I mentored, every business I built—was practice for this next assignment.
Now living in McDonough, I’m stepping into this race not to play politics, but to represent the real. I’m running to bring lived experience, grounded leadership, and a long-view vision to Georgia. From the bricks of Capitol Homes to the marble halls under the Gold Dome —I know exactly why I’m here. This campaign is personal. It's rooted in purpose, powered by faith, and driven by people.
